We just crowned the winner of the People’s Choice Donut Shop in Utah for 2020. Mountain Donuts of Ogden, UT beat out 15 of the State’s best donut shops in the Donut Critic polls. The donut fans and Ogden community rallied each day to overcome the next Mountain Donut’s opponent. It was madness! Did you vote?
In the final, Mountain Donuts defeated Donut Boy of West Valley by 30 votes out of THOUSANDS of voters. This was a truly close race, especially when the rounded poll percentages ended with each shop showing 50% of the votes. It’s hard to end with a closer margin. I took careful attention to verify the validity of all votes so that bots weren’t skewing results.

- Mountain Donuts (made-to-order cake donuts with tons of topping variation. Build your own amazing donut! I love their fruit and buttercream donuts and strawberry with oats!)
- Donut Boy (high-end and delicious flavor combos. I’m always surprised with the flavor profiles of Donut Boy donuts! I love their Strawberry shortcake and banana cream donuts)
- Jack’s Donuts (Jack’s is a Midwest shop that’s made its way to Utah. They have delicious dough and delicious toppings. The speculoos cookie bar, maple bar, and skittles bar are my favorite)
- Clark’s Malasadas (I love these Malasadas. In order: I love the plain, guava, coconut, raspberry, and custard Malasadas most)
